Because of the harsh environment with high humidity, corrosion, active use of the boat or sometime just long period in marina / sitting at the yard parking, there is in an aggressive marine environment detrimental effect on the "Wear and tear" of your yacht.

Also, it is necessary to regularly conduct maintenance, running & checking systems to make all equipment are always operating properly.

The best maintenance on a yacht is the preventive one. Not to be confused with repairs.

We meticulously carried out at high frequency regular maintenance operation in order to keep the vessel in the best conditions possible.

Here is a typical maintenance list for one of our yachts performed at different intervals (daily, weekly, monthly, and annually):

 

• Weekly complete wash down of the vessel in order to avoid stains, corrosion or discoloration.

• Cleaning / polishing stainless (rails, cleats, handles)

• Hardware tightening and operating (prevent corrosion or seizing)

• Inspection, washing and ventilation of sails

• Rigging maintenance, pulleys, spars, winches, jammers & stoppers

• Maintenance of natural and/or artificial teak decking

• Control of air tightness (leaks) of hatches and portholes

• Ventilation of the yacht's interior

• Ventilation of the yacht's storage compartments

• Maintenance of plumbing devices and water tanks

• Grey & black tanks maintenance

• Fluids level check, replacement and/or topping

• Engine(s), transmission(s), gearbox(es) periodic start-up and monitoring

• Outboard motor(s), generator(s) periodic start-up and monitoring

• Heater(s) and air conditioner(s) periodic start-up and monitoring

• Desalination plant(s) and related equipment run with fresh water.

• Butane gas line and slab (including refueling of cylinders if necessary)

• Check & operating autopilot

• Checking the operating status of automatic and manual pumps

• Monitoring of batteries and recharging them if necessary

• Maintenance of the steering system in working order

• Electrical circuits and yacht electronics checking (voltage)

• Navigation, wind instruments meteorological equipment check

• Bilges cleaning & control for presence of liquid

• Lubrification and manipulation of valves and thru hulls

There is also a list of control and maintenance specially programmed for annual dry dock period:

 

• Complete hull pressure washing

• Check for osmosis, chips, cracks or delimitation

• Yacht’s keel check, rudders and hardware, cleaning from fouling

• Sanding & treatment of the bottom with anti-fouling coatings

A significant part of the works from the above list is done in our “Exclusive Management Program” with no extras charge. However some works require additional payment(s), including the purchase of spare parts and consumables (in agreement with the yacht owner).
